Feeling Witchy?

I attended a seminar by Bearbridge Academy on witchcraft and one of the participants complained that she only “felt witchy” when casting a spell. Felt witchy? What the heck is that?

I don’t “feel witchy.” I feel like myself, and being a witch is just part of me. So I would argue that feeling like me is “feeling witchy.”

I DO feel more centered and connected to the universe as a whole after I cast a spell. But I don’t define this as “feeling witchy.” Magick is nothing more than taking advantage of the inherently chaotic nature of the universe. I believe casting a spell with intent helps you be more aware of that amazingly complex system we live in are generally oblivious to.

If you need to “feel witchy” maybe you should rethink what being a witch is.

My First Tarot Reading

I did my first tarot reading today and it went really well! I really actually drew meaningful cards and told a story that spoke truth and companion to my querent! I feel like I really had some insight today and helped somebody dealing with big questions and a scary personal journey.

Thanks to Biddy Tarot for helping me complete my reading. I used their Celtic Cross layout and while most of my interpretations came from the booklet in the Rider Waite Tarot deck, the final interpretation, for Card 10, which was the Star reversed, came from Biddy Tarot again. Which is great, because the booklet was giving me an outcome that was awful. Biddy Tarot explained that the Star reversed meant the querent should pay attention to themselves, practice self-care, and to nourish their spirit. Which was the perfect conclusion to the querent’s question. They left with a huge smile on their face!

I may have a true gift when it comes to the tarot! I will let you know more as my journey continues.
